THE MELOS
Dreamy indie rock band from Austin, TX

The Melos

Austin-based indie rock band The Melos are releasing their EP Lost and Lonely in the Night, their first collection of songs recorded with a full band lineup. The EP showcases the band’s evolution from a solo songwriting project into a fully realized four-piece, blending cinematic guitar textures, driving rhythms, and emotionally charged storytelling.
Frontman Brandon Borrego’s deeply personal and metaphorical lyrics draw influence from working-class rockers like Bruce Springsteen and Eddie Money, while maintaining a modern pop sensibility. His brother Louis Borrego complements that vision with lead guitar work that ranges from jangly and melodic to expansive and atmospheric.
Bassist Jacob Moore and drummer Dante Muñoz round out the rhythm section with a dynamic energy that brings each song to life—whether on stage or in the studio—amplifying the emotional arc of the music.
Both lyrically and sonically, The Melos aim to capture the push and pull of the human experience: longing and hope, stillness and movement, solitude and connection. With Lost and Lonely in the Night, the band delivers a sound that’s both intimate and anthemic—music for the quiet moments and the loud, cathartic ones.
